As I've already explained for 10 guys personally how they can type these in L2 and still people are asking in PM.. I'll make a guide here. I hope these symbols are not prohobited here, as they wont harm anyone or anything. The files below are uploaded by me, they dont contain any viruses, keyloggers or anything of that kind. And without them you wont be able to write these symbols in L2, unless you copy/paste them (as L2Walker). And this thing is gonna stop working if you use the updater, since it will replace one of the required files. So here you go:
1) Download
this archive (61.9 kbs) that contains 2 files - fire.dll and unichat.dll;
(link updated 11th March)2) Place them in your L2/system folder, replacing fire.dll file;
3) Restart the game completely.
Now you should be able to type these symbols.
You can do it by pressing and holding Alt and typing XXXX on your Numpad with NumLock ON, where XXXX are the numbers. You can check these numbers at character map. Winkey (the one with windows logo on it)+R -> charmap -> OK, or C:\Windows\system32\charmap.exe. A small window will appear once you run it, the front doesnt really matter. There will be lots of symbols, though u can NOT type all of them using Alt+XXXX. The ones that you can have a keystroke, thats written in lower RIGHT (>>>>>) corner. If the keystroke box is empty, you can NOT type them by Alt+XXXX. There will also be something like U+XXXXX in the left, thats a symbol's code, u can NOT use it in L2, so leave it. Alt+NumpPad numbers commonly uses the skills from your 3rd skill bar. So you should either disable it in your Game Options or remove the skills from 3rd skill bar. Anyways you can still type the symbols if it uses the skills.
An example. Press and hold Alt and type 0134 in Numpad, you will get †. Press on this symbol in charmap and you will see in keystroke box 'Alt+0134'. Alt+0169=© Alt+0153=™ Alt+0170=ª and so on. Good luck.
P.S. The guide is actually very simple and is supposed to be much shorter, but I wanted to clear all possible questions, so thats the way it is.
P.S.S. This modification enables you to type in greek.. and maybe some other languages.
